He is a democraticallyelected President (unlike Presidents in certain other nations). So why is it that so many people are suggesting that he is a dictator, like the author of this piece critizing Robertson.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate this author condemning Pat Robertson for his comments; however, he or she also seems to imply that Hugo Chavez is a dictator when in fact he has twice been elected in free democratic elections that were monitored by the international community. (See this link: http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/08/23/robertson.chavez/ )
The author of this Toledo Blade piece is not the first person to make this false allegation either. I have heard it over and over again. So what if Chavez is an outspoken critic of the United States. That doesn't change the fact that he was democratically elected. By falsely suggesting that Chavez is a dictator, many of these so called "journalists" are giving Robertson some undeserved cover for his outrageous remarks.
