In a fine piece of objective journalism, the Gannett Co.-owned Livingston (Mich.)County Daily Press & Argus featured wall-to-wall coverage of hate-monger Ann Coulter's Monday appearance at Cleary University. There's even a photo gallery, if you've ever had the urge to view jpegs of the Devil herself!

"Reporter" Dan Meisler delivers a lede that is sure to win him some distinguished awards:

Ann Coulter delivered a sharp-witted and droll attack on liberals and Democrats on Monday at Cleary University, to the delight of about 500 audience members.

The fun continues...

In a speech full of one-liners, Coulter hit Democrats, their presidential candidates, and their opposition to the war in Iraq.

For example, Coulter blasted Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois, who she refers to B. Hussein Obama, using his middle name.

"He's part black, part white, part atheist, part Christian, part Muslim," she said. "There's something for every Democrat to vote for."

She also poked fun at his supposed lack of experience, saying that he's only as popular as he is because of how unlikable front-runner Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., is.

"That's why everyone's going to that 14-year-old Obama," she said.

Meisler, in a fit of journalistic brilliance, continues to fellate Coulter for 29 more paragraphs of gushing coverage. Essentially, Meisler reprints every one of Coulter's wild claims without any kind of fact-checking or skepticism. In other words, Meisler (who you can e-mail here) doesn't bother actually practicing journalism. Who has the time?

In a pathetic attempt to give us libtards a bone, Meisler ends his "article" with this:

Coulter's appearance prompted some controversy, with one sponsor, Saint Joseph Livingston Mercy Hospital, pulling out of the event. Other dissenters planned a counter-event for Monday evening. But the only indication of disagreement at Coulter's actual speech was a sole protester who braved the late-morning rain and greeted vehicles entering the parking lots from Grand River Avenue with a sign that said "Ann you ignorant slut."

How thoughtful of him to include that.

Apparently, the Lansing State Journal thought Meisler's article so good that Michigan's Capital paper provided a link on its front page. You can tell LSJ Executive Editor Mickey Hirten about the great story selection by following this link.

Oh, and the kicker?

Coulter's appearance fee was $30,000. The Daily Press & Argus was one of the sponsors of the speaker series.

Well, that explains a lot!
