JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Special Projects Director
United States Senator Barbara Boxer
San Francisco, California
October 2007

U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer has an opening for a Special Projects Director
in her San Francisco field office.  Primary responsibilities include
researching grant opportunities for local and county government
organizations; drafting speeches, briefings, and other documents; some
office administration and representing Senator Boxer at community events
and meetings with constituents and local government representatives as
needed.

Travel within the greater Bay Area is required, therefore applicants must
have a valid California driver’s license.

The successful applicant must have a positive attitude and the ability to
work and set priorities in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
Strong writing/verbal communications and organizational skills are
essential.  Experience as a professional writer and/or researcher is a
strong plus.

This is a full-time position with excellent federal benefits.
