Are the Hillary Bloggers on Kos a good thing?

The past couple of days on Kos have featured a couple of diary/stories dominated by the pro-Hillary group apparently known as the Hillary Bloggers. Today's diary is on the rec list about the The Power of the Netroots in Heading Off the Swiftboaters. Yesterday's was about Russert’s questioning of Hillary at the debates.
I love Hillary. I would be ecstatic if she were president. Just as I was ecstatic when Bill was elected. I hated when the right wing attacked her as first lady. I was ashamed of our nation.
But, I would rather like to elect someone who is a leader against the war, and I am not convinced that the Hillary spin bloggers are a good thing.
In comments to today's and yesterday's Hillary spin blogs, I brought up the fact that Hillary has made some horrible votes as a Senator--i.e. for Iraq War authorization, for the Patriot Act, for the Kyl/Lieberman Iran authorization, for continued war funding.
What did I get from Hillary bloggers? "Everything you say is a lie." "You need a hearing aid." "Read her record."
When I point out that the voting record sites that I am being asked to review confirm that Hillary has voted for the Iraq War authorization, for war funding, for Kyl/Lieberman Iran authorization, for the Patriot Act, what did I get from Hillary bloggers?
"You haven't read anything." "Are you a rethug campaign staffer." "You are just mouthing right wing talking points."
Right wing talking points? The right wing loved these votes by Hillary. She supported Bush on these issues. It's us progressive Kossacks that worry about her courage to stand up to Bush on these issues.
It is good that Hillary is fighting back, so she won't end up as road kill like John Kerry who never countered the lies. I am glad she has an organized response team.
But if Hillary can't explain these war votes, she is still going to end up as road kill. Swift-boating in response to swift-boating is not the answer.
