Heritage or hate? I say both

PBS is doing a documentary entitled "Heritage or hate? The controversial display of the Confederate symbols" The white southerners shown defending the use of the 'rebel flag' were so convincing that I've decided to run right out and buy a few. One for me and a one for the first black guy I run into tomorrow. I mean, it's only about heritage, right?
The show is pretty much what you'd expect, chock full of white southern men in Confederate uniforms (civil war re-enactors) all claiming that the flag is all about "heritage" and not a thing to do with hate. It's funny, in all the years I spent in Germany while in the service I never once heard of a single German reenacting WWII for heritage's sake. Not even one fake gas chamber! The many PBS hours were filled with plenty of that old 'My granddaddy was this, and my great granddaddy did that' bullshit. I guess they'd justify honoring a swastika if gramps had been idiot enough to fight for Hitler. I personally believe that only a moron could feel proud of the southern heritage that the rebel flag represents.
The flag in question is the so-called rebel flag. Here's one for those of you lucky enough to have never seen one.

And This is the flag used by the KKK since 1915.

Aaand This is the flag that continues to cause so much pain today, and the very one so many white southerners and Republican politicians fight so hard to protect.

CAN YOU SPOT ANY DIFFERENCES?? ARE THEY ALL THE SAME???
YES, they're ALL THE SAME! While there are actually hundreds of confederate/civil war flags to choose from, it is the flag used by the KKK they have repeatedly chosen to use to represent themselves and their southern heritage, along with the ever popular cry "The South will rise again". I guess that's just another innocent part of their heritage too.
