Strange Bedfellows............w/poll

This is a bit of wacky diary.  I just love the word "bedfellows" so I had to think of a way to tie it into a diary :-)

So...follow me below for more...

I have a friend who is married to an ultra-conservative republican.  She on the other hand loves Obama, and she drove with me from Michigan last January to take part in the peace march in DC.....talk about strange bedfellows.

So, how many of you are in relationships with someone on the opposite side of the political fence?

I have never been able to understand how relationships like that work?  Seems to me in order to have a close, supportive, and understanding relationship, you need to have the same world views, the same philosophies, and (I hate to use this next word because it's been SO abused by the republicans...but...) the same values.
