Fox News Porn and Internal Meltdown?

Wed Nov 14, 2007 at 02:09:58 AM PDT

I despise Fox News and only watch bits and pieces as I flip through channels. But I have noticed, however briefly that it is getting sleazier by the day as Keith Olberman and Robert Greenwald talk about here:Fox Porn

Greenwald: Fox adds sexually explicit video into serious news stories
While many commentators on Fox News are ideologically opposed to cultural smut, Fox News finds a way to fit that same smut into many of their broadcasts. So says Robert Greenwald, whose new mini-documentary details Fox's misuse of sexually explicit video in their news programming.

"It seems consistent," he said on MSNBC's Countdown with Keith Olbermann. "It certainly seems to be the pattern with [Fox President Roger] Ailes, who has taken every possible element of news and degraded it, degenerated it, and turned it into, in this case, smut. And if it is not smut, we see the right wing propaganda."

So I've done a little background search on the Fox News CEO Roger Ailes.

AILES, ROGER- CEO Fox News Production

Ailes carried out political consulting for many candidates during the 1970s and 1980s, but returned to presidential campaigning as a consultant to Ronald Reagan in 1984. He is widely credited with having coached Ronald Reagan to victory in the second presidential debate with Walter Mondale after Reagan had disappointed his partisans with a lackluster effort in the first debate.

Roger Ailes is a bonafide GOP supporter with Republican ties going way back:

1967-68; media adviser to Richard M. Nixon Presidential Campaign, 1968; founder Ailes Communication, a media production and consulting firm,  1974-82; media Consultant, Ronald Reagan Presidential Campaign, 1984; George W. Bush Presidential Campaign, 1988; various senatorial and Congressional campaigns;

Roger seems be in a political battle with Fox Owner Rupert Murdoch:

Evidence of Murdoch's hidden Bush hatred?
Who is responsible for the glut of books criticizing President George W. Bush?

Roger Ailes provides the answer in today's (Oct. 8) Wall Street Journal. Ailes, who is chairman and CEO of Rupert Murdoch's Fox News Channel and the soon-to-launch Fox Business Network, is asked his opinion of Alan Greenspan's recent criticisms of President Bush. (The Bush criticisms to which the Journal refers appeared in Greenspan's book The Age of Turbulence: Adventures in a New World.)

Responds Ailes:

You can't sell a book in America if you don't dump on Bush. That's the cheapest shot in the world. You cannot get an advance, and you can't sell a book because the publishers are all people who hate Bush and hate Republicans.

So I'm thinking that Ailes is purposely using more sleaze than 'normal' to make Ruport look really bad because they are in disagreement over Bush Politics.

As a life observer,I see honor among thieves and sleaze peddlers often turn on each other. (Kind of like OJs friends turning on him.)

Fox News just might be imploding from the inside out Fox News Imploding? Desperate? Lashing Out? as Mike Stark says in his diary up now on the rec list.
