I was relieved to hear Gov Dean will stay in the nomination race until the Convention.
I hope those who supported him will persist, and even continue to fund the Dean Campaign.
I prefer Dr Dean to the others, and hope he will be the nominee, even if this outcome is unlikely.
Dr Dean set the issues and the tone of this election. Sen Edwards and Gen Clark have been helpful in particular areas of the campaign.
Sen Kerry was nothing - as his ratings showed - until he took advantage of an opening and stole Dr Dean's campaign. Sen Kerry is already slipping backwards - from my point of view - in the absence of pressure from the Dean campaign.
So, win or lose, we need to keep the Dean campaign going, just to keep the Demcorats honest. In case you don't think so, watch Carville and Begala gloating on CNN's CROSSFIRE, feel the satisfaction over at the DLC, and hear Terry McAuliffe's suddenly increased activity.
Without Dean, all you will hear is the moans from the dark rooms where Democrats roll over.
