In the information age, how one looks on camera can mean as much, or more, for a candidate than that candidate's position on the issues.
It's been said that the Kennedy/Nixon debates clinched the victory for Kennedy not so much because of what Kennedy said, but because Nixon, as Dave Barry once put it, looked like he had been locked inside for weeks and coached by ferrets. Kennedy went on-camera with a tan, make-up, and a coordinated outfit. Nixon, on the other hand, looked pale, refused to wear make-up, and wore a suit created a strange effect on camera.
And we've all seen an number of embarassing photos of our Commander in Chimp...er, Chief.
Because image is so important, it's best for the eventual Democratic candidate to look the role; to look Presidential. That means putting forward a good face for the networks and newspapers. In your opinion, which candidate do you believe could stand to improve his or her performance in front of the cameras? And, if you want to, say how they could improve their image.
