My First Ever Presidential (Primary) Ballot!!!

Sat Dec 29, 2007 at 04:33:36 PM PDT

This will be a very short entry, but I'm in such a good mood right now that I had to share. I, at 20 years of age, have cast my very first ballot (absentee of course) for the Presidential race.

As I will be a polling place manager on the Democratic side on February 5th, I am not allowed to cast a ballot on election day. Thankfully, my Absentee Ballot was sent to me in the mail today, and I have been given the opportunity to finally vote for our next leader. This feels like a great milestone in my life, and something I've been waiting on for years. I was a year too young to vote in 2004, although had I been able to vote, I would've been stuck between Howard Dean and Al Sharpton. But now that I'm of age, I'm finally able to participate, so it's time to put my money where my mouth (or in this case, hand) is. Long story short, John Edwards is now one vote up in St. Louis, MO.

And now, out for a date of ice skating and Applebees. Happy New Years!
