I always knew my english professor was quite conservative, but I was suprised to find out today that he won't vote in this year's election because he hates Bush but could never vote for a Democrat. I talked with him about politics for a few minutes today and he had nothing good to say about our "conservative" president (he did the quotes with his hands when he said the word conservative). He complained that Bush has expanded the federal government beyond the wildest dreams of liberals and that his amnesty plan was a cheap stunt to win hispanic votes. I was pretty shocked, this is a huge contrast from my father-in-law, who also considers himself a conservative, though he has an undying hard on for Shrub and shrugs off all bad press as part of a liberal conspiracy.
