Do You Have a Happy Story?

South of the border edition.
Tonight I am filling in for Darryl from the beach in Jalisco, Mexico.
I hope you will join me in sharing your happy story.
Patience is the keyword to surviving in the land of manana.
My computer needed to be replaced and I have ordered a new one. My new computer is across the street at the computer shop so the delivery should be simple. Tonight will be the third night that I will be home waiting for Hugo to bring the computer over. If Hugo comes through then I will indeed be one happy American/Mexican.
Life moves along slowly here, and time is not a factor. I love the afternoon hours from two pm until about four thirty or fivish. All the shops close and everyone goes to their homes for the main meal of the day and perhaps a nap. After seven pm, all hell breaks loose and the fun begins. Taco carts, pastries on a table with a child fanning the insects away with some shredded plastic on a stick. Hey, it works. The music starts with church bells and bands roving the streets and the plaza. Families are out walking, or just sitting at the plaza watching the world go by. Folks are very friendly and address each other by name. We always ask how they are today and then we chat. So much chatting goes on here.
I wanted to share a bit of my happy life here with you. This is the first time in my life that I can say that my life is a happy story.
Please share your happy stories here tonight.
