A while back, when I was doing demographic polls (before I ran out of ideas, and before people ran around bashing the very idea of "demographics"), one of the liveliest polls I did concerned the vehicles people drove.
Well, I guess it's been sort of a slow news week or something, because here's the New York Times, weighing in on the vehicles Republicans and Democrats drive.
Short version. Democrats drive foreign cars and minivans, Republicans drive domestic trucks and SUVs.
Now it isn't all quite that simple, as a diary from earlier this week made clear. Democratic big wigs must, for political reasons, be seen driving and being driven in union made American cars. But for those of us who don't have political obligations, I offer this poll. (When considering if something is foreign or domestic, use the traditional country of origin of the brand name. Do not count where the car was produced, or various mergers and acquisitions--most car buyers don't)
