A Question about Iran?

I am not an expert in tracking down information like many Kossaks here. What I am wondering about tonight is given the way the media manipulated information in the leadup to the war in Iraq, how reliable is the information that we are recieving about the Iranians supplying weapons and technology to Iraq?
Is the information we are getting any better than the stuff provided us by Curveball? I don't want to be disrespectful, I just don't know how much of what I am hearing now to believe because we have been so grieviously misled before. I believe that Iran is developing nuclear technology. Any country in its right mind would be doing that with the energy crisis that is looming. I suspect that they will also develop weapons technology too if for no better reason than they can, and perhaps because they are afraid of my government. News flash here folks, I am becoming afraid of my government. That by no means should be taken to mean that I don't still truly believe that this is the best country in the world. I do. I am wondering about the veracity of the weapons found in Iraq that came from Iran. Has anyone really closely followed the provenance of these weapons? Given that this administration misled us into Iraq, how are we to know that they did not plant Iranian weapons for strategic political purposes? If anyone knows how to verify this I am really interested. Thanks
