"40,000,000 ABORTIONS" Screams GOP Debater

Thu May 10, 2007 at 04:39:41 PM PDT

And guess what... the total since 1970 is higher than that.

CDC publishes an "Abortion Surveillance" report. Here's one:

CDC abortion stats

We got a week of The Left whining about GOP "Pro Choice" posturing. Problem remains, these guys have a serious argument for votes.

Pro-Life's "A Child Is Not a Choice" project has demolished the lackluster "Pro-Choice" motto.

"Save, Legal and Rare" is O.K. as a goal. But the day-to-day reality is that abortion is not rare.

Hundreds of thousands of abortions a year ain't "rare."

Time to toughen up, folks. Wanna win ? It don't help pretending that Pro-Life arguments lack substance.

The Left has been falling on its face since the GOP debates.

Fact: 40,000,000-plus abortions. (Over 45,000,000.)

Fact: 850,000 abortions a year. (Been declining, maybe because the morning after events are not reported to CDC.)

-- Interesting details from CDC include that 800/1000 girls, aged 15 and under, choose abortion to carrying to term.

-- From 1977 through 1997 the U.S. had more than 1,000,000 abortions a year.

-- Overall "the ratio (of abortions to live births) peaked at 364 per 1,000 in 1984 and since then has demonstrated a generally steady decline. In 2003, the abortion ratio was 241 per 1,000."

"I Support Legal Abortion" is the simple, minimalist truth about what the Democratic Party wants for national policy.

Stick the GOP/neocon/theocrats with "We Will Make Abortion Illegal Every State We Can."

So what's it mean that Rudy G.'s really pro-abortion ???

He is a major threat to Democrats. Ask the New Yorkers.

His play is to de-couple the professional Pro-Life people from the mainstream presidential wing of the Republican Party. Tough SOB.

This is a reform that brings 10,000,000 votes in for the presidential wing GOP, if the religious voters can be held in line with the "strong leadership" pitch. They're not voting for Mrs. Clinton or O'Bama, the half-Irishman.

My guess is that the White Baptists, Pentacostals and Mormons are authoritarians, first. Anti-black- and hispanic- and liberal-abortion weenies not at all.

Ain't no hyper-conservative babies gettin' murdered.... That's roughly what they teach and surely what they believe.
