Presidential Limbo contest: how low can Bush go?

with www.realclearpolitics.com showing Mr. Bush at 32% approval and several individual polls now showing him under 30%, how low will he go?

Who are the people who supported him at 35% approval and abandonded him at 28%? Is that purely immigration related disapproval? Have they finally given up on Bush? Did gasoline finally get to expensive for too long for them? Was he supposed to intervene on Paris Hilton's behalf?

Having spent a while watching the polls on Mr Bush, I no longer understand why people support him or why they abandon him.
