Edwards and the poor, GOP and the sick

Tue Jul 10, 2007 at 11:16:21 AM PDT

A lot of punditocracy hot air has been wasted on the fact that John Edwards, being rich (he is, no shame in that - I want to be rich) is a hypocrite for talking about helping the poor.

Easy to find morons who make this case but never, never, never, apply the same logic to those they support about other issues. Like health care.

Republican politicians against universal health care. They hold the high ground? Time to explode that meme beneath the fold.

I was just watching our President's discussion on CNN about health care. And for the umpteenth time it occurred to me, and others who have posted before, that he, and "they' (the Republican oligarchy) have no standing at all when it comes to talking about health care.

Except for viagra.

I'm tired. I'm beat. I took 1/2 a day off to write my rare diary.

Not scintillating.

Not brilliant.

But I feel better the same.

Discuss.

Poll

If you're rich, ok to help the poor? If you have free health care coverage, ok to make policy for the poor?
