I just saw this posted on Buzzflash from
The Manchester Union Leader. The Manchestor Union Leader is a hyper-conservative paper in Manchester NH. It is the most right wing paper in the state and has been for
years. I remember shaking my head in anger over stuff in this paper
10 years ago.
See what they had to say about Bush & Katrina after the jump.
As the extent of Hurricaine Katrina's devastation became clearer Tuesday - millions without power, tens of thousands homeless, a death toll unknowable because rescue crews can't reach some regions - President Bush carried on with his plans to speak in San Diego, as if nothing important had happened the day before.
Katrina already is measured as one of the worst storms in American history. And yet, President Bush decide that his plans to commemorate the 60th anniversity of VJ day with a speech was more pressing than responding to the carnage.
A better leader would have flown straight to the disaster zone...

The article goes on to praise Bush's response to 9/11, and to lament the loss of that GW.
Guess what guys, they didn't see anyway that Katrina could be used to invade Iran, so why bother? It was only likely to raise uncomfortable questions about The National Guard and unfortunate budget choises, so lets not give the story O2 by giving Presidential attention to this.
We have known he was a cold unfeeling bastard for a long time. Looks like the hard core conservatives are finding that out now. It is unbelievably painful to think about Katrina's other victims, but I will not shed a single tear for Bush if he turns out to be one of them.
