IL-14: John Laesch (OK, and the Rest) Speak - Video!

Sat Jul 21, 2007 at 05:46:07 PM PDT

Illinois' 14th District Central Committeewoman, Beth Penesis and Central Committeeman, Mark Guethle recently hosted the 1st Annual IL-14 Dem Fundraiser in DeKalb, Illinois.  Among other things, the event offered a chance for local activists to become acquainted with the currently declared candidates for IL-14 Congressional seat.  I’m sorry I missed it, but I have the video!

I must admit, as the Laesch Campaign blogger, I was tempted to post only his video.  Then I watched them all and I’d encourage everyone interested in this race to do the same.  I don’t think it’s just my wishful thinking that makes John Laesch the stand out at this event.  Links below...

First up: Bill Foster, self-proclaimed Blue Dog, who has said he can’t think of a single thing the Blue Dogs are for that he isn’t for too.

Next: Jotham Stein, new to politics and new to the district.

Finally: John Laesch  Go.  Look.

Watching the last video, I found myself remembering why so many people were so dedicated to John’s campaign last time around, why wherever we took him people were excited to meet him, why John rarely met a voter who didn’t walk away promising his or her vote.

I know we are fighting for Democratic victories all over the country, but here in IL-14, where we voted to inflict Denny Hastert on the country for decades, I think it is doubly important.

The interest in this race makes it glaringly obvious that the seat is competitive; John’s work in ’06 has paved the way for us to take it.  John Laesch is the man to do it.

Look at the videos and tell me if you don’t agree.

Oh, and please send John some love at ActBlue
