Obama Gaining Ground, ties Clinton in NH, leads in SC

Tue Jul 31, 2007 at 10:55:22 AM PDT

Barack Obama has taken the lead in South Carolina and is now tied with Hilary in New Hampshire, according to new polls.

I just saw this on Andrew Sullivan's blog, but I dont think its been posted here yet.  Obama now ties Hilary in NH and leads in SC .  His analysis is that Obama won the recent foreign policy conflict with Hillary.  As a biased Obama supporter, I agree, but I also think that in general the more that primary voters look at the two candidates side by side, Obama will continue to generate more excitment.  The people that are excited by a Hilary candidacy are already involved, but Obama excites people who are not as engaged in national politics.
