An Indymedia story
indicates that Diebold, the controversial electronic voting
machine manufacturer, has apparently backed away from making
legal threats against ISP's "who publish or link to
corporate documents suggesting there are flaws in its equipment
and irregularities with certifying the systems for elections".
A press
release from Democratic presidential candidate Cong. Dennis
Kucinich states that Diebold has withdrawn "a dozen
legal threats" against ISP's who hosted sites about
Diebold. There have been growing concerns that widespread fraud
could take in the 2004 presidential election.
