It seems us Deaniacs are no the only ones to lose our sense of humor. Heywood and the Jabangmes is the name of my band. Funny huh? Catchy? Kinda dumb but what the heck, I like it and so should you.
Issues, the ones that got me tearing tissues:
What Bush isn't truthful about the Democrats haven't come clean about either.
1)Peak Oil and Gas.

The following is a must read, it will scare you, but, not facing the facts is scarier still:

The truth about the war has nothing to do with terrorism. It is a dangerous and desperate grab for the world's remaining fossil fuels.

2) 9-11, and Bush complicity, the big lie is a lie. 9-11 is a joke in your town. The evidence does not stack up to the official story and anyone who questions it is nut job, a whacko, a freak, mentioning it is political death. The war in Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Yugoslavia, Macedonia ... Read the PNAC website. This is WW4. Just the fact the planning of a massive attack on Afghanistan would take way more time and planning then the time between 9-11 and the invasion should put up red flags.

Invading Afghanistan after 9-11 makes about as much sense as unvading Scotland after McVeigh blew up the Murrah building! NORAD totally stood down that day. The only way that happens is complicity, at least criminal negligence at the top of the command structure i.e. the commander in chief.
Weapon of mass destruction: not bad intelligence, FABRICATED INTELLEGENCE! They made it up! 6 year olds are better liars than these people. Waxman got them to put their statements in writing very early on.
There is 2.3 trillion dollars in missing money from the DOD and HUD between 98-2000. We could pay for the entire Bush controlled budget if we could find the missing money.

5) Repeal the Patriot act, protect civil liberties.
Until people get wise and start talking real issues, we are going to get the same war fought under the same false pretense over and over. Are we to believe that EVIl pop up in the world every two years, forcing us to do the unthinkable? Kill helpless civilians, litter the landscape with depleted uranium.

More alarming, however, is the fact that attention is being diverted to wasted efforts, rather than to those that might make a real difference. In the final analysis, what we can expect after George Bush is a continuation of what came before and during George Bush. For those with their eyes open, there will be little difference in the outcome. Bush was not a marked historical or policy shift. The Clinton administration set the stage for 9/11 perfectly. George W. Bush is merely the captain of a brutal special team sent onto the field to make a few essential plays consistent with a larger plan. And if I have to spend the four years from January 2005 fighting deluded, guilty, self-aggrandizing progressives who want to convince us that things will be better under a Democrat, the same way I fought the current administration, that's exactly what I'll do...

Multilateralism--dear people--gave us savage neoliberalism, with the (US dominated) International Monetary Fund as a global loan shark, and for billions of people multilateral imperialism is precisely what has underwritten the suffering that corresponds to their dollar-a-day existence.
The break with multilateralism is not some break with a noble past; it is a falling out amongst gangsters as the turf dries up. Bush's cohort is not insane. They are responding quite logically to the exigency of a post-Cold War conjuncture with the forestalled crisis of profit back upon them, the dollar-a-day natives pissed off, and hydrocarbon energy preparing to exit the world stage.
"Progressives," whatever the hell that means, need to quit listening to NPR and confusing it with critical analysis... "this program underwritten by Archer-Daniels-Midland, Supermarket to the Universe, and Lockheed-Martin, designing technology for the Aryan Future."

OK fire away, call me a freak and a tin foil hat wearer and all the things that Rove and Co. would say. Cause it's all the same anyway. Change isn't incremental. Debunking the big lie, is revolutionary!
Getting in a pissing match about little petty lies is just dumb, counter productive, bread and circuses, worse, because it let's them all off the hook by letting them paint themselves as righteous truth tellers and champions of patriotism. One hand washes the other. The new boss is the same as the old boss.
There was guy in this race that although wasn't coming clean on the whole story on what's really going on, did call for at least some real change. That guy was saying: "You have the power." Empower yourself by arming yourself with the knowledge that's out there and put 2+2 together for yourself, beyond party lines.
Here is an excellent place to start. This guy is hard hitting and has been in the Military all his adult life. He puts it in simple terms. Stan Goff:
