• Only Jesus' General could possibly be intrepid enough to find this: A call from Pastor Wiley Drake of the First Southern Baptist Church of Buena Park, CA (via the "Christian Newswire") for supporters to pray for the deaths of staff members of Americans United for the Separation of Church and State. (Note to O'Reilly: "People should die. They want them to die. It doesn't get worse than this.")
• Newt Gingrich was a serial exaggerator way before the press decided it was cool to call Al Gore that. And he's back in the old habit, of course, because he never gave it up. Here's how Gingrich characterized the terrible shootings in Newark, NJ:

  Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Tuesday he is "sickened" that President Bush and Congress went on vacation "while young Americans in our cities are massacred" by illegal immigrants.

• Melanie Morgan, as we know, loves to lie. Media Matters catches her in the act, again.
• Rudy Giuliani may be the craziest person ever to seriously contend for a major party nomination for president. Does he know he made this video?
• Does U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Chris Christie know the circumstances under which he made, and was later removed from, the White House's hit list? He's told the story three times, but now, everyone who's heard it says they can't recall. How odd!
• Still can't get voting machine manufacturers to reveal their source code? Talk to this guy, he's the man with the plan. Seems he (allegedly) had a couple drinks, went out for a drive, got pulled over, but found an attorney who demanded and won access to the source code of the breathalyzer that busted him! Note to self: vote drunk next year.
• Flop-sweat alert! Fem-Sen Susan Collins' InterTubez Director Lance Dutson is telling anyone who'll listen that the hate-crap found on his site is a "plant" from... you guessed it, Daily Kos. Unfortunately for him, no one can listen. Firedoglake's Siun reports via e-mail that Dutson is such a talented Internet director that... his site is down.
• Beware of exploding heads -- by which I mean yours. Watch this FOX footage from the weekend (h/t: C&L), wherein the spokesmodel "reports" on the success of the surge, while in full armor, surrounded by troops and choppers, and is being told by the Iraqis she finally gets to talk to how everything sucks.

• Top Ranking Republican Deborah Pryce of Ohio is bugging out, and is off to spend more time putting food on her family. This, like all Congressional retirements, is an excellent pick-up opportunity. Keep a close eye on it!
