Just to remind everyone just how screwed up our intelligence community really is right now, Porter Goss has seen fit to get rid of the daily 5 PM Anti-Terrorism meetings because, according to Goss, "the C.I.A. under Mr. Tenet may have devoted too much time and resources to terrorism at the expense of other issues."
Is it just me, or are we not fighting a "war on terrorism"? Wouldn't we want our intelligence services focusing on the very thing we're fighting?

Pretty much, I think the article speaks for iteself, and I really shoudn't feel too astonished by it as Goss was the one who seemed to believe that Novack's out of Valerie Plame was not as important an issue as DNA on a blue dress.
Nor should I be astonished that he was the Administration's choice for CIA Director. After all, this is not a reality-based Administration. What is beginning to bother me quite a bit, is how utterly stupid the American public appears to be. How many times do you need to screw something up before people notice?
