Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) has declared his endorsement for the candidacy of Wesley Clark.
"Wesley Clark is someone that can carry southern Brooklyn and southern Queens, but more importantly he can carry the southern states, and we need to have a candidate that can carry that part of the country to win back the White House," said Weiner, D-N.Y.
Weiner said the Clark candidacy may be going through some "growing pains" as a result of his late entry into the race, but argued that shouldn't hurt his campaign because real voters aren't even paying attention yet."

Intererstingly, the article notes the other endorsements by New York reps:
"Among New York's congressional delegation, Clark has also received backing from Rep. Charles Rangel of Manhattan.
Former Vermont governor Howard Dean has received endorsements from Reps. Jerrold Nadler of Manhattan and Major Owens of Brooklyn, and Maurice Hinchey, who represents the Hudson Valley. Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts has been endorsed by Reps. Tim Bishop and Carolyn McCarthy, both of Long Island, as well as Reps. Carolyn Maloney, who represents Manhattan and Queens, Gregory Meeks of Queens and Louise Slaughter of Rochester.
Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut is being supported by Rep. Eliot Engel, who represents parts of the Bronx and Westchester County.
The state's two Democratic senators, Charles Schumer and Hillary Rodham Clinton, have yet to endorse a candidate."
This slice of the Dem party appears as divided as the Dem electorate at this point in the primaries.
