Maybe we have to just stand aside and watch Dubya lose. Things are looking very bad for the unelected fraud. His poll numbers are the poorest they've ever been. Not only are his approval numbers lousy, but his disapproval numbers are way up there. Newsweek's poll shows a majority not wanting him given another four years (I will never use the term "re-elected." One cannot be re-elected if one was never first elected.)
His in Uranus space initiative went over like a lead balloon. He gave a SOTU speech and his numbers immediately sank four or five points. His conservative base is calling him a drunken sailor when it comes to spending.
His handlers now seem committed to a June exit for most of the American troops, no matter what happens afterwards. And what happens afterward will be chaos and civil war (with the remaining 50K or so troops still getting killed every day,) and the whole "bringing democracy to Iraq" meme crumbles.
I don't think we can reasonably expect serious hiring of the unemployed (at decent wages and benefits) by November.
In short, by the end of October the pundits may all be saying "with poll numbers like this it's obviously (insert Dem candidate's name here)'s race to lose.
