Kos' idea is awesome.
I know we will all rally behind him and support the online flash ads with amazing support. DailyKos.com's SiteMeter account predicts that there will be over 3 million individual hits this month, and that the number will continue to grow as we near the election. The possibilities of affecting change in the House and Senate are limitless.
I wrote about this to a lesser extent in the comment thread of Kos' post, but since I realize that many of you did not scroll down through 65 comments to read what I said, I'll say it again here.
I have intended for some time to set up a website (name undetermined, looking for suggestions) that would target incumbent Republicans and Open congesssional seats with analysis, opinion, fundraising, letter write, and the works. The idea was spawned from my experience with the pioneering online tactics of DFA and dKos.
Kos' latest post only reinvigorates my commitment to this idea.
If you think this is a good idea, let me know. In my view, the best way to go about targeting these seats would be a combination of Kos' advertising idea and this idea of an online community/action-group. Please let me know if you agree.
Do you think it could work? Do you think there would be enough of a response to build grassroots efforts on the local level in these districts through a single webspace and push ads online that really reach people. I think it is.
Let me know if you have any thoughts, criticisms, suggestions, ideas, or the like.
