I'm shocked, shocked that my Senator accepts PAC money!

After a few days of ranting and raving that we needed change. That this country needs to get corporate money out of politics, I decided to do a little research in what PAC money my Senator, John Kerry, accepts. Those who have read my posts in the past (I like to thank both of you) know that I have become disillusioned with Senator Kerry. I have supported John Kerry since he ran for Lt. Governor right up to his run for President. It was during his run for President that I started to wonder what happened to the John Kerry I supported.
More below the fold:
I was very confused why John Kerry was not shouting from the rafters that the Swiftboater's were the biggest liars since George Bush's records from the Air Force Reserves. I started to wonder what happened to the anti-war war hero that spoke his mind and energized the Massachusetts Democrats.
It didn't help that John Kerry used many of the DLC lackeys that couldn't get a Democrat elected to a national seat since the three way race between 1 democrat and 2 republicans. It didn't help him that he used Bob Schrum as an advisor. It didn't help that JK thought that that Joe Klein had his fingers on the pulse of Democrats (Yes, the DLC loving Joe Klein that goes to Rep. Peter Hoekstra (R) to find out why democrats vote the way they do).
Before I go on I want to inform all that I support ED O'Reilly, Democrat, for U.S. Senate . http://www.edoreilly.com I support Ed because he is a true progressive that will fight for change for the middle class.
While I was wondering why JK became Senator Slacker I started to research who donates and who has donated to Senator Kerry in the past. I, for one, donated to JK. Ed O'Reilly has donated to Senator Kerry in the past (Yes, in previous elections)But there are many PACs that donate to JK. Many that give me pause to ask how can we ask the Senator ask for change if he is accepting money from the same organizations that needed to change. I went to http://www.fec.gov
to find out what PAC money JK accepted. The list was incredible. The list of PACs was longer than I thought it would be. Some of the companies I found very scary. We want net neutrality, but JK accepts donations from comcast and national cable and telecommunications pacs. We want changes in insurance practices, but JK accepts money from John Hancock and Aflac PACs. We want changes from Big Pharma but, you guessed it, Biogen and Genzyne are corporate donors.
I coulf go on and on, lawyre lobbyist after lawyer lobbyist donated to Senator Kerry.
It is time for a change. It is time to vote for true progrssive that will support the Democratic Middle class part of our party. Not just the republican lite part of our party.
Update: Senator Kerry's paid blogger blogged for him. Ask him about all the PAC money from corporate donors.
