A little photo diary from today's Obama rally at Cal State San Marcos:

The "Obama Jam Band," put together by Obama supporter Steve Theriault (onstage in blue shirt), played throughout the rally, attracting lots of attention from passersby.

A crew from NHK, the Japan Broadcasting Corporation, interviewed Obama supporters.

Students register to vote and sign up to volunteer for the Obama campaign, with Sergio Cruz, president of the CSUSM College Democrats, and rally organizer and CSUSM alumnus John Baden at back left.

Campaign essentials: pizza and voter registration cards.

Rally organizer John Baden prepares to address the crowd.

John Baden addresses the crowd with Obama's biography and stands on issues of concern to students. He urged students to vote to stop anti-student policies adopted when politicians assume they won't.

CSUSM College Democrats president Sergio Cruz speaks for Obama, also urging Democrats to support their party's nominee, whether Obama, Hillary Clinton, or John Edwards.

Entrepreneur/activist/rapper Tony B. Conscious stepped in with an improvised Obama rap with the band: "How do we spell relief today? O-B-A-M-A."

All in all, it was a very successful event, with a good time had by all, many volunteers signed up to help for Obama, voters registered and lots of visibility and enthusiasm generated. Go to BarackObama.com to find out how to join us at CSUSM again on Election Day to keep getting the word out, or to find events near you!
