Granted, the ad -- which started running yesterday in New Hampshire and Florida, and nationally on Fox -- features multiple images of dark, scary Muslims stomping around, interspersed with images of Ground Zero

9/11 was a tragedy in so many ways, not the least of which is that it deprived us of the privilege and pleasure of seeing a different kind of Rudy, a warm, soft, fuzzy Rudy:
Wow. What a lucky woman, that Donna Hanover. Don't you envy her? Don't you wish you could meet a guy like that on Facebook (without the combover)?
But now, with the weight of 9/11 hanging over him, Rudy can no longer be a lover.
