Take That, You Christofascisti!

Tue Jan 08, 2008 at 01:48:58 PM PDT

Boy howdy, I get mighty peevish about Congressional reps hijacking American history in support of an ugly agenda. If you haven't read these, please do: [updated w/action item] STOP HOUSE RESOLUTION 888 ! ;Think the "Christmas Resolution" was Bad? Check Out H. Res. 888 .  Wasting Congressional session time on outright lies and distortions in support of the Religiously wRong is, well, religiously wrong!

Lives are destroyed and taxpayers' money flushed away because Congress can't get their act together, and yet these yahoos  have no problem lallygagging along with tripe like this stinker.   They oughta' be ashamed.

Please note I said "peevish" above.  I've been working on restraining the mouth foaming, spittle spewing rage I really feel on discovering some new atrocity by elected officials.   In this spirit of real Christian forbearance, I have written an appropriate response to the legislators who have sponsored H.R. 888.   Feel free to take it as your own and help spread the joy!

The legislation is sponsored by Rep Forbes, J. Randy [VA-4].   The following is a list of the pea brained law makers foolish enough to put their names on HR 888:

This is my response and I'm sending it to every one of these losers:

Dear Representative:

I am writing to congratulate you on your support of House Resolution 888, meant to promote  education on "America's history of religious faith".    I can't determine if you're ferociously stalwart, sadly misinformed, or hopelessly  dumb in pushing the false history factoids this piece of work contains.

It is a rare congressman who will come out in support of faked history.   Your brave stand in flaunting your ignorance in a public forum is truly remarkable.    Most people would want to hide a lack of intelligence, but not you, sir!   You have fully embraced a deliberate torture of factual information into an unrecognizable parody of reality.   It's bound to be a great vote-getter as long as your looking for a willfully ignorant constituency.

Your's is a caliber of professional liar that can only be held up as a most perfect example of this type.    Taking your wide stance in promulgating this type of hit job on actual facts  requires a guy with the guts to prove, in writing, he's completely wrong and not afraid to show it!

You have been a dutiful servant to perverting reality in your attempt to change American history by this legislation.   As such, I don't think you should have to wait for your reward until you reach heaven.   Besides, that whole commandment thingy about bearing false witness would probably get in the way of your making it through the Pearly Gates.

Given that sad circumstance, you should expect to receive your reward for a job well done right here on earth!   How does 3 to 5 years in a federal penitentiary sound?   I realize that treason of this nature really deserves more, but there is an extenuating circumstance in your sad case: your support for House Resolution 888 can be used as proof positive of your idiocy and we should, after all, be kind to the handicapped.

This is why I think a few years spent in contemplation of your sins will do you a world of good!   You'll have plenty of time to study up on real American history and, when you are finally released, may have actually learned a few facts to take the place of the blatant lies in this twisted piece of legislation.

Study of the Bible will, I am convinced, be to your benefit as well.    Those are ten commandments, not suggestions.

I would be happy to suggest a further reading list but you will have to send me proof that you can actually read beyond a 3rd grade level or that someone will explain the words to you.   There's no point  in wasting your time or mine if you can't comprehend the actual facts.

Sincerely,
Your true friend in Christ,

C. L. Davis

P.S. Maybe a staff member could help you by reading this: http://www.dailykos.com/...  It has the facts.
