Threat against Obama? Intel site speculates

There are a legion of websites on the net that claim to keep up with the Intelligence world; but one in particular wonders out loud at the unusual amount of Secret Service protection surrounding Barak Obama.
What do they know that we don’t?
My personal favorite is the Federation of American Scientists Project on Government Secrecy, run by Stephen Aftergood. But there’s another site which has a reputation for ticking off all the right people, and that's Cryptome. This site dedicates itself to posting odd Intelligence documents from obscure DoD releases and Sat photos of nuke sites to the latest Homeland Security internal memo.
Recently the site posted a snip from a Washington Times (I know, I know...) article about Obama’s increased security and a short list of potential enemies.
Between the article and the photos, Cryptome makes a subtle case that something unusual is definitely up with Obama's security.
If the past six years have taught us anything, it’s that the rightwing extremist elements in America are well financed, absolutely fanatical and recognize no boundaries.
What does everyone else think?
