Can Edwards win South Carolina? (w/ poll)

Wed Jan 09, 2008 at 10:30:40 AM PDT

In 2004, after John Kerry's clear wins in the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary, Kerry was the clear favorite to be the Democratic nominee.

Yet on Feb. 3, 2004, John Edwards won the South Carolina primary -- the state of his birth -- 45.1% to 29.8%.

This year's Iowa caucuses gave Obama a stunning win over Clinton who finished a close third to Edwards' second.

Then New Hampshire gave Clinton a stunning (but very close) win over Obama, while Edwards finished a distant third (as he did in 2004).

Can Edwards really muck things up by winning South Carolina?

Take the poll...
