I am often asked in the days and hours leading into the annual Netroots Nation Pub Quiz whether there is any way to extract from me hints regarding the composition of that year's questions. I am cajoled and wheedled, and subject to all sorts of blandishments, and always the answer is the same: no, I said no. My integrity would not stand for it.
Until now.
As part of this year's Netroots Nation auction, I am offering for bid the ability to learn -- on your behalf and on behalf of your team -- the identity of two categories of Pub Quiz III questions twenty-four hours in advance of the 2009 competition in Pittsburgh. Think of the advantage you'll have over your foes! Think of the strategic disinformation campaign you can wage! Think of the folks you can attract to your team based on this knowledge! Go. Bid. Now.
Among the hundreds of other items available for bidding are following:
- four-night stay at the Westin in Pittsburgh
- coffee with Gen. Wesley Clark or lunch with Lawrence Lessig
- Signed books from Nobel laureate (!!) Paul Krugman
- Wagyu beef from Scott Kleeb's ranch
- Signed items including Barbara Boxer boxer shorts, a Russ Feingold-signed U.S. Constitution, a Trey Anastasio-signed guitar and a pair of Rainn Wilson-autographed Dwight Schrute bobblehead dolls.
- unique jewelry and Obama baby bibs
P.S. What happens at Pub Quiz? Watch and learn:
Update by kos: My contribution to the cause? Two signed Dwight Schrute bobblehead dolls (Here and here.) Rainn Wilson's mother is a huge fan of the site (Hi Rainn's mom!), and he was glad to help when asked.
