President Bush,
It is great for you to do everything in your power to protect the sanctity of life. We appreciate it. However, there are 2 laws in the United States we would like you to have the legislative branch take up immediately. Our goal is to have these 2 pieces of legislation signed into law no later than May 1st, 2005. The first act below the fold....
1st Act: The Respect Every Human Being Act of 2005. This act is 2-fold. The first is to make the death penalty illegal in the United States. We cannot decide who can and cannot live. We do not have the right. And, Mr. President....we need to Err on the side of life. The second fold is that we will eliminate homelessness and poverty in the United States. Millions of Americans are either homeless or in poverty thanks to big business and war. With this legislation you will save millions of lives and as you stated this week, we need to err on the side of life.
2nd Act: The Christopher Reeve Act of 2005
This act will allow for federal funding of stem cell research as well as making it mandatory for research at the University level. With stem cell research, we will save millions of people over the next 10 years. If you respect life and the sanctity of life, you must support this bill.
The thought of a Democrat in the House or Senate with balls to do this would receive 100% of my donations the next 4 election cycles. Unfortunately, I do not think they will step up to the plate.
An alternative though is Sen. Man ON Dog. Sen. Santorum has started to question the death penalty. Should he choose to vote for it, I would call every priest in Pennsylvania until I found one willing to stand up and excommunicate him. The death penalty goes against everything in the Catholic Church. Sorry Sen. Santorum, dogs are included.
