Clean Out Your Desks: The House

As 2008 ends, we pause to remember those members of the United States Senate and House of Representatives who, thanks to retirement, defeat at the ballot box or planned move to the United States Senate or Executive Branch, will be leaving Capitol Hill as this year ends. (Unless you're Hilda Solis, in which case it's only an expected move for now pending Senate confirmation, or a member of the Udall family, in which case you just flip sides of the building.)
We'll start with the House of Representatives, so cue my Philadelphia brethren for the appropriate music, roll names, and there's no need to hold your applause (or boos) to the end as we say farewell to the following men and women:

Above and beyond all these individuals, we must pause and reflect again on the lives of the Hon. Tom Lantos (CA-12) and Stephanie Tubbs-Jones (OH-11), both of whom passed away this year while serving in Congress.
Go ahead. Say something nice about those departing Washington -- even the Republicans.
