Banished & Frontline on PBS tonight

Tue Feb 19, 2008 at 05:14:29 PM PDT

It is worth taking a break from the political coverage on the cable news networks.

Tonight, Frontline investigates what happened in Haditha
in Rule of Engagement (the program will also be online)

And on many PBS stations, the amazing documentary Banished
airs as part of Independent Lens (check local listings)

Banished shows the legacy of racism in southern cities where
the African-American populations was driven out.  It also shows that there is still racism today.  If only everyone could see this.

The Center for Investigative Reporting has extensive background information

Director Marco Williams talked about it on NPR

Producer Arun Rath discussed the Frontline investigation on NPR

and On the Media

And Frontline will have more on Iraq in a four and a half hour documentary airing March 24 & 25 called Bush's War
