We should have impeached Gonzales

This is just infuriating. Alberto Gonzales is on the lecture circuit now, making $30K a pop to answer pre-screened questions in speeches the press are excluded from. That he is capitalzing on his infamy--and that places like Washington University would actually host him--is bad enough. But then you get to what he actually says.
During his speech, Gonzales repeatedly made references comparing himself and the Bush administration to the presidency of Abraham Lincoln, suggesting that Lincoln was highly criticized during his presidency and is now highly revered. [emphasis in original]
According to Gonzales, the truths about his actions will be revealed in years to come.
"There is a difference between what you do and what people say you do. It’s going to take years for the entire story to be told," said Gonzales. "If you worry about criticism you end up paralyzed and do nothing."
As far as I know, no one in the Confederate army was ever waterboarded. Hopefully the truths about his actions will be revealed in a court of law.
