Community-based Internet radio - LIVE right now

Fri Feb 29, 2008 at 03:28:42 PM PDT

Hi - Rob here again with All Over The Place on HomeGrownRadioNJ.org, the Internet radio show that's a musical education in three hours or less. Why do I post it here? Good question - wish I had an answer. Just felt it was my job to entertain you as you surfed the web. AOTP runs from 7 pm to 10 pm EST, in other words, right about now. Click on "listen live" to, you know, listen. Live.

About HGRNJ - it's a small community-based Internet radio operation located in Blairstown, NJ. We've been around for over 3 years and we just got our nonprofit status (hence the .org). HGRNJ DJs will play anything and everything!

Drop a comment in if you have a musical request. I've got a 80 GB hard drive and I'm not afraid to use it.

Go here to tune in...updates below.

Grateful Dead Hour plays until 7 pm.

Opening shots include King Crimson, Orange Juice, Belly, Cranes and other delightful obscurities both new and old.

7.20 pm - some new stuff next from American Music Club, exciting young Welsh band Los Campesinos!, live stuff from the prog rock band IZZ, pop from The Foreign Cinema and The Mountain Goats.

7.45 pm - On we go, Stevie Wonder, The 5th Dimension, Hall & Oates, XTC, Robyn Hitchcock. All over the place, indeed.

8.15 pm - the next set of adventurous sounds - BEdhead, British Sea Power, Piano Magic and Ester Drang...

8.45 pm - Van Morrison rereleases and the music of Eels.
