My Diary

My diary for today.  

I have been in a shocked state of dejection since my beloved Patriots lost a game that would have placed them into the history books.

So, I may be less coherent than usual tonight but I don't care.  I feel like a drunk that needs to make a speech at closing time.

Not about Super Sunday yesterday but about Super Tuesday tomorrow.

 

I know, not another candidate dairy.  The constant stream of which has reached a fever pitch that reminds me of excrement flinging chimpanzees screaming at each other.

I am hoping to be just as tad different.

This was drill weekend for the guardsmen and reservist among us.  So I spent many hours talking closely with many faux-conservatives.  I call them faux because they only think that they are conservatives because they watch Faux News Channel, listen to Rush Limpbaugh and gobble up all that propaganda.  If they stopped and thought for a moment for themselves, they would not be conservative "thinkers" at all.

Anyway, they all want Hillary to pull it out and win the nomination.  They are banking on it because they know that she will be easier to beat in November.

They all hate John McCain but have decided that he is the only electable Republican left.   They worry about Romney's flip flopping and Mormon beliefs.  They think that Huckabee is a liberal hiding behind the Bible and secretly really like what Ron Paul is saying.  So, they are all messed up but will end up voting for McCain out of practicality even though they don't like him at all.

Barack Obama scares the hell out of them because they see him as the Black JFK, the new MLK and the Democrats best hope to cleaning their clocks in November.

I will be pulling for Barack Obama not for those reasons.  I will be pulling for Barack Obama for one reason, alone.
