BREAKING: Edwards Endorses Obama

Okay, it's finally happened. The endorsement we've all been waiting for. Daily Kos' favorite candidate has endorsed Barack Obama for president.
And it's coming right before a crucial primary.
Of course, I'm talking about Donna Edwards, one of our Blue Majority Candidates who is challenging incumbent Albert Wynn.
In her endorsement, she attempts to tie her message to that of Barack Obama:
Whether you choose to call it the Chesapeake primary or the Potomac Primary, it is undeniable that voters have an extraordinary opportunity to participate in the tidal wave of change that is sweeping the country and will crest right here in the fourth district on February 12th.
In that spirit, I have decided to endorse a fellow candidate of change: Senator Barack Obama.
.
.
.
Like Sen. Obama, I reject the influence of wealthy corporate special interest PACs funding political campaigns and influencing public policy. Both Sen. Obama and I opposed the war in Iraq from the beginning and have denounced this aggressive, misguided effort in the Middle East. Sen. Obama and I both adamantly opposed the Republican-sponsored bankruptcy bill that put the interests of banks and financial institutions ahead of the interests of the American people and is now exacerbating the outrageous foreclosure crisis right here in our own district.
Most importantly, both Sen. Obama and I offer a real change - a new vision and new voice in politics that actually works for the people. The change that we both envision requires thousands upon thousands of people working together, striving for change and demanding better of our elected officials.
Pretty ringing endorsement.
Of course, Al Wynn's campaign wasn't about to let that stand:
When Congressman Wynn was chairman of the congressional black caucus PAC, he was urging support of Barack Obama when he was just a state senator. His endorsement of Sen. Obama over three weeks ago was one of conviction, not one of convenience.
Yes, over three weeks ago. 6 days after New Hampshire, to be precise. If it had been of conviction, he'd have endorsed before Iowa. In fact, he was supporting John Edwards early on.
And Wynn has his own take on who's the more Obama-esque candidate in the MD-4 primary.
In an interview, Wynn predicted a big turnout on Primary Day now that Maryland is a factor in presidential primary battle. He said increased voting could help his effort. Wynn has endorsed Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) in the race; Edwards has so far stayed neutral. "What Sen. Obama brings is a sense of 'let's get things done," he said. "[Edwards] is an ideologue. It's her way or the highway. I've always been about getting things done.
I must say that I like the fact that they're fighting so hard over who's more like Barack Obama. Makes me think 6 out of the 7 delegates out of the 4th district might actually be a possibility [78.6% of the vote is required. I'd be surprised if Obama doesn't get 5 of the 7, as only 64.3% is required to do that. I will bet any amount of money that he gets at least 4; only a simple majority is required for that].
