More double-speak. An anniversary is suppose to be a celebration. What's to celebrate? Yet Bush, and therefore the media, call this the "3rd anniversary" of the Iraq war (of choice) for liberation, as if it's over and we should celebrate progress. What progress?
The media should've used terms like: 3rd milepost in Iraq war; or 3rd year of struggle; or marks the 3rd year of reconstruction. And, why no mention it's nearing the 5th year in the war on terror beginning with Afghanistan, which remains awash in poppies, war lords, and the Taliban?
