No wonder there's been such a backlog of passport applications at the State Department. The staff has been too busy snooping on Democrats to do their real jobs.
(CNN) -- Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Friday told Sen. Hillary Clinton that the security of her passport file were breached in 2007, according to Clinton's Senate official.
Sen. Barack Obama's passport file was breached three times since January, the State Department said.
The revelation came shortly after Rice said she hed apologized to Clinton's Democratic presidential rival Sen. Barack Obama for the unauthorized viewing of his passport file by contractors working for the State Department.
Waxman has already fired off one letter to Rice over the Obama snooping. He needs to expand that inquiry, and if there are any investigative reporters left in Washington, maybe they should start asking the State Department for the full list of people whose files have been breached, and maybe whether there are any Republican candidates on that list.
Update: That was quick. McCain, too.
