Obamabots- - - Unite.

I, along with many of you, have been a vociferous defender of Senator Barack on Kos, but more importantly, in undecided territory across the web. For months now I can barely let a nasty or ignorant remark on Huffington or Politico go unanswered. My job is to lay down fact with a healthy dose of incredulity and occasional scorn. It has been an easy task because I have been right, and the other side has been so clearly, obviously, and offensively wrong!

(and in case you didn't already, please read the title again in your best robot voice)

But, in the words of the immortal Chuck Todd tonight on Olbermann, we are reaching the peak of the hill over which the extended media coverage of our ongoing contest stops helping us, and begins to erode our ability to come together to destroy John McCain in the general.

True that the case could be made for one candidate to step aside for the good of position and party. True that one side appears to be aligned with reason and unity, and the other with lies and self interest. True that Obama is by all counts (except the electoral college!?!?!) the rightful nominee. True also that Hillary, like the terminator, WILL NOT STOP!

In our desperation we ask the superdelegates and party leaders why they don't end it - but that would only make it worse by breaking the will of the electorate, causing division, and destroying the sanctity of our principles.

For all these reasons and more we outspoken democrats who congregate at Kos need to look to ourselves for the answer! We can only control our own role in this contest, and in that responsibility is power. The future is in our hands - to repair the compound fracture in our own party, or to lend a hand in tearing it apart - it is up to us!

Therefore I vow to end divisive, cynical or negative comments against the other candidate. I swear to respond only in conciliatory tones to argumentative posts. I will only respond with facts, and will even say positive, reassuring things to angry, outraged, misguided, or misinformed supporters of other candidates. I will be a good sport. After all, haven't we won?

I hope you will join me.
