'That was a stupid lie, easy to expose, not worthy of you' w/Poll

One of the wittiest scripts ever written was "All About Eve", a parable about the egos and narcissism of show business.

Someone once said:  "Politics is show business for ugly people".  Well, we have a lot of ugliness churning in the Democratic primary campaign.

The lynchpin of HRC's current rendering is her matchless experience.  Take that away, and her current rationale for running against Obama becomes hollow.  As scrutiny turns to her claims, this rationale is starting to wither.

The truth about  Bosnia, as you all have seen ad nauseum:

This error reflects the 1990's mindset of the Clinton campaign, and a similar mindset plagues McCain as well.

  1. Top down campaigning:  endorsements from 'big names', staged events,  crafting a message that only appeals to a narrow traditional 'base'.
  1.  Failure to recognize the power of the 'Internets':  YouTube, Viral communication, blogs, Internet fund raising.
  1.  Relying on a tight inner circle of sycophants:  all critics are enemies, members of your own party who don't support you are enemies, members of the other party who oppose your primary opponent are your 'friends'.
  1.  And the worst:  The only experience that counts is the experience of working in Washington DC (an 'Inside the Beltway" myopia):  forget about the importance of experience in other venues, such as state legislatures and local communities, only the grand stage matters (no matter how peripheral your participation on that stage).

Bosnia, Northern Ireland, Macedonia, Rwanda, SCHIP, FMLA...they are part of a disturbing pattern of exaggeration, distortion, and lying.

And the sad part is, many of her claims are SO easily disproven.  Whatever claims she can make about her 'experience' are now discounted like a Rudy Guiliani campaign t-shirt, headed for the trash bin.

When questions about your character and honesty have been raised, mostly unfairly by the right wing for two decades, don't add fuel to the fire.

Will this do in HRC?  No.  Insight and introspection are not major parts of HRC's character.  Nothing will stop her unless the party leadership comes out in public in force.  Will that happen?  I doubt it.
