the live community radio thing (again) - long show tonight

Fri Apr 11, 2008 at 03:53:15 PM PDT

Hi - Rob here again with All Over The Place on HomeGrownRadioNJ.org, the Internet radio show that's a musical education in three hours or less. Why do I post it here? Good question - wish I had an answer. Just felt it was my job to entertain you as you surfed the web. AOTP runs from 7 pm to 10 pm EST, in other words, right about now. Click on "listen live" to, you know, listen. Live.

AOTP runs extra long tonight (until 12 mid EDT).

About HomeGrownRadioNJ.org - it's a small community-based Internet radio operation located in Blairstown, NJ. We've been around for over 3 years and we just got our nonprofit status (hence the .org). HGRNJ DJs will play anything and everything!

Drop a comment in if you have a musical request. I've got a 320 GB hard drive and I'm not afraid to use it.

Go here to tune in.

Updates below.

6.50 pm - in the leadoff position, new Van Morrison, from the album Keep it simple.

7.20 pm - on the way, some eMusic acquisitions - Neu!, Wye Oak, Sun Kil Moon and The Sound.

8 pm - new REM, Muse, Counting Crows and Stuart Davis (who?) - trust me, he's good.

8.20 pm - more REM, and then Martha and the Muffins, Rob Dickinson, Sparks, Carly Simon and so much more.

8.50 pm - Stan Ridgway in a minute - Easterhouse, Kathleen Edwards and the new one from Ray Davies...

9.40 pm - Willie Nelson box set, but first, some Morrissey.
