Clinton still in the Red

The Clinton campaign's decision to run the best campaign of the 20th century continues to hamper their ability to compete on an even financial level with people-powered Barack Obama.

Clinton reported raising $20 million in March and had $9 million for the primary available at the beginning of April. But she also reported debts of $10.3 million, putting her in the red.

That number doesn't even include the $5 million Clinton lent herself. Obama, for his part, raised $40 million in March and had $42 million available at the end of that month with no significant debt (less than $700K).
