Where is Lenny Bruce

Many years ago Lenny discussed his opposition to segregation and how to convince a Klansman that segregation was against his personal interests.

In case you do not know the bit Lenny said he would offer the Klansman a choice between a black black woman and a white white woman. The black woman was Lena Horne and the White woman was Kate Smith (thanks to the Wurx for the correction). In this election we are faced a similar choice between a black black candidate and a white white candidate.

What should have been an enlightening duscussion on the future of American democracy and economy and how both need to be retooled to serve the needs of Americans over the next couple of years has been reduced to a set of absurdist sound bites. While Barack has made his fair share of gaffes and is not as progressive as his movement, I feel no qualms about saying that his campaign is the most progressive event of my lifetime. This is not however the point of this post. What I want to know is what Lenny Bruce would have done with the Hillary Campaign.

What would Lenny have said about Clinton's sense of entitlement and inevitability?

Who would Lenny have called at 3 am, what would he have asked and how would Hillary have responded to a call from the great man. I am not sure about you but the only times I used to call people at 3 am was when I was fried, and is the ability to deal with loaded loons really a test for who should be in Charge of the nuclear football. Also, not meaning to belabor a point, but should a 60 year old even be awake at 3 am. As I have gotten older my narcolepsy and deafness has gotten worse.

What would Lenny have done with the question about "not being able to stand the heat in the kitchen." Would he have agreed with Hillary's latest ad that all the President gets to cook is war and devastation.

Last, how would Lenny have dealt with the Clinton campaigns increasing use of red baiting and religious affiliation.
