John McSame flip-flopped again this week when talking about
the economy. Oh, and he's a little unclear if you are in a recession or not.

Full Lineup and update with awesome brand new DNC "100 Years" video below....

UPDATE 10:40EST

HaHa!  Howard Dean just smacked John McSame on MTP this morning.  It was masterful.  I will post a video later of it.
Chairman Dean was very on-message and said "Iraq 100 years" about six times in four minutes.  Russert unveiled the outstanding new DNC "100 Years" ad which got the RNC whining like little titty babies, saying it's unfair.  Everyone that goes on TV needs to repeat these words anytime McSame comes up.

This is the best Democratic political ad I have seen in years.
Check it out:

THE LINEUP -

Meet The Press:  Chairman Dean.  Very Serious Discourse with Gasbag Broder, Slate's John Dickerson, Gwen Ifill, Andrea Mitchell and Richard Wolffe.

Tweety:  Political toolbox Joe Klein, the beautiful Cynthia Tucker, Norah O'Donnell, NYT's Patrick Healey. Obvious predictions from the panel here.

This Weak:  Senators bland - Bayh and Daschle.  Rep. Artur Davis and Sheila Jackson Lee.  Some roundtable crap much the same as last week's roundtable crap.  They never say anything new or worthy of remembering. At least Mark Halperin isn't on though.  He's the #2 Worst Political Journalist in the World.

Face The Nation:  Axelrod vs. Wolfson (yawn).  CBS correspondent Roger Mudd.

Faux News:  Obamamania.

Late Edition with Wolf:  Sen. Feinstein (D-Lieberman), serial liar Rep. Hoekstra, Clinton foreign policy adviser Jamie Rubin, Obama foreign policy adviser Susan Rice. CNN's Joe Johns, Gloria Borger and Jessica Yellin explain how every time a spring flower blossoms it means McCain is winning.

60 Minutes:  Political operative Antonin Scalia, Isreali Air Force dominates the skies of the Middle East.

Elizabeth Edwards takes the media to the woodshed in NYT Op-Ed:

The problem today unfortunately is that voters who take their responsibility to be informed seriously enough to search out information about the candidates are finding it harder and harder to do so, particularly if they do not have access to the Internet.

Did you, for example, ever know a single fact about Joe Biden’s health care plan? Anything at all? But let me guess, you know Barack Obama’s bowling score. We are choosing a president, the next leader of the free world. We are not buying soap, and we are not choosing a court clerk with primarily administrative duties.

Awesome.

McSAME flies the fancy skies.

With his millionaire second wife picking up the private jet tab:

NYT reports on McSame taking advantage of campaign finance loophole:

Last summer, just before starting to use his wife’s plane, Mr. McCain was quoted in a newspaper report as saying that he did not plan to tap her substantial wealth to keep his bid for the Republican presidential nomination going.

"I have never thought about it," Mr. McCain was quoted by The Arizona Republic as saying at a July appearance. "I would never do such a thing, so I wouldn't know what the legalities are."

McSame vs. McSame on the economy:

January 10, 2008:
"And by the way, I don’t believe we’re headed into a recession. I believe the fundamentals of this economy are strong, and I believe they will remain strong."

February 3:
"I think if we’re going to be in some shaky times - and by the way, I believe the fundamentals of America’s economy [are] still strong."

March 3:
"I don’t know technically whether we’re going into a recession or not, but I believe in the long term, our fundamentals are strong."

April 14:
"Are we in a recession?" McCain finally admitted, "I certainly think so," but then tried to moderate his comment by adding, that the word "recession" is "really kind of a technical term used by people who are economists and make these kinds of judgment."

April 17:
McCain said last night that Americans perhaps feel they are better off than they were when Bush took office because "millions of jobs have been created" since then. So therefore, McCain said, "You could make an argument that there’s been great progress economically over that period of time"

April 25:
When host Meredith Viera asked McCain whether Americans are "better off, by any means, than we were eight years ago," McCain replied, "Oh, no. No."
