Jack Kerouac, stream of conciousness, diary no. 2

Well after Jack Kerouac no. 1, which didn't go over too well, I thought I would try another when I was sober, but what fun is that? So here I go with no. 2. The first thing on my mind is Hillary; why is she still in the race? Because I'm pretty sure Hillary can add and subtract, maybe even multiply and divide. Hillary is only a couple of years older than me, I can still do all that stuff. We're better at it, we old people, then you young whippersnappers, because when I went to college, electronic calculators weren't available. You could get one, but it weighed about thirty pounds and had tubes and cost a whole lot. We had slide-rules, which are now museum pieces.
I can still multiply up to the twelve times whatever in my head. And my cephalic calculator says that Hillary can't win, no matter what happens. And particularly as PA starts to tilt toward Barack, Hillary has no chance. And for sure she knows that, because, as everybody says, Hillary is smart.
Well, sometimes you might wonder how smart she is, for instance why does she pose herself as the the Heroine of Bosnia, landing under sniper fire, as she bravely stops on the tarmac to hug an eight-year old poet, while exchanging grins with Chelsea, her fifteen year-old daughter and Sinbad and Sheryl Crowe?
Well, maybe she just remembered wrong--we all do it, right? Like the time I landed in Hawaii, and the nice stewardess put a lei around my neck, I could have sworn there was incendiary bombs blowing up around me on the tarmac. No, my wife says, that was just the residue of Purple Haze that Augustus Owsley gave me to ward off the boredom of the 5 hour flight from San Diego. Well, could be. But I'm just a plebe, a presidential candidate should maintain better after taking hallucinogens.
So the reality is I don't believe her. I don't believe her about a lot of things. The most significant thing that I think that she's lying about is the fact that maybe, just maybe, she still has a chance to win.
Here's what I think, in her heart of hearts, I think she knows that its over, ITS OVER.
So why, so Y, does she keep on travelin' on?
Well, I think I should digress here and say that I have always liked Hillary. I don't like her as much as Obama, but you know Obama is a recent fling, and I have known Hillary for a long, long time. She's put up with Bill, and truth is, without Hillary, I'm not sure we would have ever had Bill. This is an understatement. Without Hillary, the Clinton presidency would never have happened. Bill is just too Bill to keep it straight for long enuf. And I liked Bill, I thought he was a great President. More Republican than I would have liked, but better than we would have had without him. As Presidents go, Bill was way better than most. And, as the saying goes, behind every great man, there is a great woman. But that doesn't mean that she would be a great president. Better than McCain, but then the truth is that I would be better than McCain. And I'm not running.
So back to, why is Hillary still running when she knows she can't win? I think it is because she has debts. Followers of DailyKos know that the Clinton campaign has been slow to pay off its debts to local businessmen. I would link to these diaries, but this is a jack kerouac stream-of-consciousness diary and I can't stop for these technical details, and besides I really am a little bit drunk.
Well, as I see it, Hillary has to maintain the illusion that she is still viable to attract to donations to pay off the debts that she has already incurred. And her surrogates, Harold Ickes, James Carville et al are totally down with this, because they want to be paid off too! Of course they do, because after all, this is their last hurrah. Who is going to pay them from now on for dispensing bad advice, after this abortion of a campaign?
It has been said that Obama is outspending Hillary in the absolutely crucial to Hillary state of Pennsylvania by a factor of 5:1. Though the Clinton camp has yet to release their March donations, even the most partisan Obamanites don't believe that that poltical donations could possibly be that skewed, as in 5:1. So why isn't Clinton protecting her lead in Pennsylvania?
There can only be one reason. She already knows what we at Dailykos have known for awhile: It really doesn't matter. It's over.
She is minimizing her expenditures, so that she can pay off her debts. It really is over, folks.
